Margaret has been drawing and painting since her childhood on the Gulf Coast of Texas. After studying art at Abilene Christian University she lived for many years in Upstate New York, where her love of the land, sky, and sea blossomed, and landscape became her dominant genre. Since moving to Abilene, Texas, she has not only explored and painted the abundant beauty of her southwestern surroundings but also has found joy in capturing the special qualities of still life subjects. Margaret is a signature member of The Center for Contemporary Arts in Abilene and a member of Plein Air Painters New Mexico. Her work is on display at the Studio Thirteen Gallery, (909 N. 13th, Abilene, TX) where she and several other Abilene artists maintain their studios.
